At SMRT Built, we’ve designed a clear and transparent process to make your home journey enjoyable, efficient, and stress-free. From your first enquiry through to handover, our team guides you every step of the way to ensure your project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
1. Enquiry & Consultation
Your journey begins with an initial conversation with our SMRT Built team. We’ll discuss your vision, preferred home design, site location, and budget expectations. Our consultants will help you understand the available design options, pricing ranges, and what to expect throughout the process.
We’ll then prepare a tailored Project Overview outlining your chosen design, estimated pricing, and next steps to move your project forward.
2. Design & Proposal
Once you’ve chosen your preferred design, we begin the preliminary design and costing phase. Our design team will prepare a customised concept layout and site plan, taking into account your property conditions, council requirements, and design preferences.
During this stage, you’ll also meet with our design consultants to finalise external finishes, colour schemes, and optional upgrades. We’ll then provide a detailed Project Proposal that includes a fixed-price estimate for your new SMRT Built home.
3. Pre-Construction & Approvals
Once you’re ready to proceed, we’ll commence the pre-construction phase. This includes obtaining site-specific engineering reports, planning or building approvals, energy efficiency assessments, and any other required documentation.
Our team will coordinate directly with surveyors, engineers, and local authorities to streamline approvals and ensure all compliance requirements are met before your build begins.
4. Contract & Production
After approvals are complete, you’ll be presented with a formal building contract that clearly outlines the inclusions, timelines, and pricing. Upon signing, your project enters the production queue at our advanced manufacturing facility.
Each SMRT Home is constructed under controlled factory conditions using precision-engineered systems. This ensures quality consistency, reduced waste, and faster project delivery compared to traditional on-site builds.

Once fabrication is complete, your home is carefully transported to site using approved carriers. Our installation team coordinates the entire process, from delivery logistics to crane placement and alignment.
Depending on your site conditions, installation typically takes just a few days before on-site connection and finishing works begin.
6. Completion & Handover
After installation, we complete the final site works, connect services, and conduct a thorough quality inspection. Once your home meets all quality and compliance checks, it’s ready for handover.
Your SMRT Home representative will take you through your new home, provide warranty information, and ensure you’re comfortable with all features and finishes before handover is finalised.
